Unfortunately, liberals are going to call for more gun laws. If he's going to break the law and kill, he won't obey gun laws. There's no better place for a coward to go with a gun to kill, a school where he knows guns are outlawed and he won't encounter any equal means of resistance or self-defense.

i agree with you... more gun laws are just going to be more of a pain in the ass for people who don't break the law with them...

"over 30 people were killed in the attack including the gun man"...? The news says one dead, 17 wounded. I usually don't side with the people that xxxx at the person that puts these videos on the site, but DAMN that's one hell of an exaggeration. As is "the worst shooting in history"...I know of at least 3 that were far worse. Still, this is pretty much the most disgusting kind of thing I've ever heard of...absolutely senseless killing. xxxx yes, call for more goddamned gun laws. People obviously aren't xxxxing responsible enough to handle firearms, yet.

upsshooter, do you really think that owning guns makes life that much more enjoyable? take countries like britain, you cant own a gun if you are a regular citizen and compare the murder rates....why do people wanna own guns sooo xxxxing bad....just cause you own a gun doesnt mean you will grow bigger balls....here's a great law ban them or let only law enforcement carry, but then there will always be leaks...

linksilver, I guess after watching the news today, you feel pretty foolish now, huh. And rue247, do you know when I starting learning to shoot? When there was a multiple public murder in my town, at age 47. A lunatic shooting people who were in a restaurant with a "No Guns Allowed" sign on the door. He knew there would be no one there able to defend themselves, just like the college. You think a gun ban is the answer? You ignorant xxxx, law abiding folks would turn theirs in, and guess what? The CRIMINALS would keep theirs. Ya Think??? A non-citizen, BY LAW, can't get a gun. A non-citizen, BY LAW, can't kill people. Hmmmmmmm, he apparently didn't obey the law. If there was a ban, who would defend myself and my family then? Do the police live with me? Do they ride with me in my car? Are they with me 24/7? NO. The nature of most police work is "response" and investigation, not prevention. I wonder if any of those poor students had taken a law class? Did that protect them? Why don't you let your little ignorant fingers do some research on the crime rates in England since they confiscated the guns from, guess again, the LAW ABIDERS. Violent attacks, robbery, rape, home invasions, etc have gone through the ROOF. As you sit on your fat ass, exercising your fingers, and obviously not your mind, what would you do if someone started breaking down your back door? Yeah I know, call 911. I'd like to get my hands on you for the time it takes police to respond to a 911 call. Maybe I could beat some sense into you. Sure, you can prosecute someone who breaks into your house, IF the police catch them and IF you survive. I would survive, you would be a victim. You're a liberal who thinks someone else is supposed to take care of you. I would be able to take care of myself. That's why I exercise my RIGHT to own and carry. I haven't ever killed anyone. That's because I OBEY THE LAW. linksilver, evidently I'm "responsible enough" to handle firearms. I'm responsible and that freak yesterday wasn't? That's why he did that and another gun law or a ban that wouldn't get all the guns anyway will work? You don't understand the world.

They should ban South Koreans

Posted by: disbelief on Apr 17, 2007 @ 02:07:12 pm

i don't even know how to respond to all of this... but... if someone is going to murder people... what makes you think they are going to give a xxxx about any gun law? lets say they do pass more gun laws... who is that going to stop? do you constantly break the laws? if the answer is no then this will probably stop you from having a gun... but what about all the "thugs" screaming xxxx the police? more gun laws will sure get rid of them huh?

Posted by: rue247 on Apr 17, 2007 @ 04:51:01 pm

no your right this would keep happening even after the banned it, but eventually we will end up with all the guns if they stop selling them, maybe not all, but just compare britain's crime rate to here....

Posted by: rue247 on Apr 17, 2007 @ 04:52:31 pm

and what if the person who entered your house found it instead and in some states it is illegal to use a gun on a person if they are unarmed, even if they were trying to kill you....

Posted by: waikiki87 on Apr 17, 2007 @ 05:15:33 pm

guns kill people, people kill people..its a lose lose situation..what we need to do is change out society as a whole, which will never happed..its too bad that the end of humanity will end up being our fault (society) rather than the earth imploding on itself..

Posted by: hypertension on Apr 17, 2007 @ 10:10:21 pm

... except in Australia where violent crime has gone up through the roof...

Personally i reakon that the aproach of taking human rights away from humans that abuse them, such as their right to breed. What we do is make all the heavy criminals to do slave work pretty much and on top of that make them compleately sterile so no new genneration of criminals can sprout about. Imagine how much work could get done if you took all the criminals in a prison and made them build buildings, bridges, anything really, you would just need tough inspectors before youd wonna set your foot in or on anyone of them:P and imagine how little amount of criminals there would be if they couldnt teach their little childrens to do crimes? I think this is compleately humane as humans that abuse human rights do not deserve them!

anyway, guns arent the answer to this tragedy. I was shocked to hear some comments on the news like "we should allow students to carry guns" blabla"..this is very stupid logics. Yes maybe they could have defended themselves..but over 1 year there would have like, many many deaths, and accidents cose of those guns. Anyway, there should be more 'tough' laws about guns in USA.Yes it wouldn t prevent the people who really really want guns to have it, but it would at least make it a bit more difficult. This kind of things happens a bit everywhere (not at the scale tho)..but probably more in USA :|

EVERY SINGLE TINY THING that happened is already against the law. Don't you people get it?
