What had happend is that as seen on this video, Hart got struck with a Mule
Kick and as it was executed incorectly, he recived a severe concussion,
what happend afterwards is that Bret having been unaware of the severity
of his injuries, continued to wrestle in a few more matches and got
injuried even more, the summ of all those injuries left Hart with
post-concussion syndrome, and ultimately forced his retirement from
professional wrestling.
Honestly, it breaks my heart to even think about this, because he was such
a great wrestler and performer, I mean some ppl might think that "The
Excellence of Execution" is just a catchy tagline, but Bret Hart truly
personified excellence of execution, when he in the end had to retire, it
was a enormous loss for the wrestling world...
For my part, he will allways be "The best there is, the best there was,
and the best there ever will be"
