First off, consider that they didn't even use the same pyrex pan that they started with. Second, what is the purpose of the peanut butter. I see no chemical reaction between the two, looking at all possibilities. Diamonds are made through INTENSE heat and INTENSE pressure, not your 900w microwave and a jar of peanut butter.
