Wow, this is old. This happened at Mountain Home AFB, ID back in 2004 I believe. The pilot didn't make the adjustments for the altitude of the runway because it is above sea level, so he didn't go high enough. For some stupid reason I didn't go to the show that day...but was on base to see the huge black cloud.

You would think an experienced pilot simply would NOT make such a mistake especially when it could kill him.Did he keep his licence?
