July 17, 1988, Frank "the Brusier" Brody and booker Invader I, Jose Huertez
Gonzales, got into a disagreement, at a Puerto Rico wrestling card.
Gonzales invited Brody to step into the shower so they would not be seen
arguing in front of the other wrestlers in the locker room. There,
Gonzales stabbed Brody. He may have lived, but it took half an hour for an
ambulance to reach the stadium, by which time Brody’s wounds had become
infected. He was taken to the hospital, but died a short time later.
The incident went to trial and Gonzales was acquitted of the murder of
Brody, despite several wrestler eye witnesses. Gonzales claimed self
defense. Many believe the lack of evidence was due to many of the foreign
wrestlers fear of not returning back to the islands, especially if they
gave evidence against Gonzales. Dutch Mantell, now one of the bookers for
TNA, was there when Brody was stabbed and you can read his recollections
of it here.
Three months later on October 7, 1989 during Puerto Rican based WWC's 16th
anniversary show, long-time friend of Brody, Manny Fernandez, was booked in
a match against Invader #3.
Fernadez waited for his moment to strike and with three stiff top rope
knee drops broke 2 of Invader #3's ribs which pierced his lungs and caused
Invader to spit up blood instantly. Fernandez saw this as "payback" for
what Invader #1 did to Bruiser Brody.
It took Invader #3 three years to recover and he was never the same as he
suffered from constant shoulder pain throughout the rest of his career.

Rue247 challenged me to fight him. I went to where we were supposed to
duke it out. he showed up with a bunch of his gay buddies. But once they
saw my fists, they ran like little xxxxes. So not only is RUE247 a troll
but also a chickensh*t. I am glad we didn't fight, it would be like
fighting a girl, there would be no question as to the outcome.
