It was a Chevy/Gmc you can tell by the headlights. Dont think it was Diesel
because it will say it in red bold letters on the side of the bed.

Whether or not it's diesel doesn't have anything to do with it. As long as
water doesn't get in the carb or air intake the vehicle will run. Some
Hummers and Jeeps can use a snorkel and can run buried to the roof in
water.
