It's fairly amusing to watch occasionally...but those Japs watch it 24/7 non-stop. I think it'd get old after a few matches...not much diversity.

That's what you might think, and I did too originally. But, I watched it recently and found out that there are lots of white sumo wrestlers. And they aren't even that fat. They're actually really fucking tall. It's pretty awesome watching those giants throw each other around.

Actually, it turns out that about half of the active sumo wrestlers (atleast the good ones) aren't even Japanese. There's so many white, mongolian, hawaiian, and other shit mixed in. I love the fact that there's no weight discrimination in this sport like boxing. It's because even the lighter guys can actually win against the giants.

Yeah I appreciate the sport for what it is. I've seen 200 pound guys beat 500 pound guys consistantly. It's just not diverse enough for me. Most sports are unpredictable. With sumo...you know they're both going to run at each other...and one is going to knock the other out / down. *yawns*
